Resource Allocation Strategies for Student Success
Thanks to funding provided by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, CCSESA is leading a capacity building effort to provide leadership to school districts and county offices of education in resource allocation strategies in a new environment of reduced state resources, increased categorical flexibility, and federal stimulus funding.
Leadership Assistance for District Fiscal Planning
CCSESA partnered with School Services of California (SSC) to offer local education agencies (LEAs) information and tools that will help make the most of the new state categorical flexibility and federal stimulus funds to support student academic achievement goals. In June, July, and October, CCSESA/SSC hosted workshops to provide the latest updates on state budget and federal stimulus changes, perspectives from LEAs who have developed systems to effectively deploy resources to improve instructional programs, and from national researchers who have identified key focus areas for potential fiscal reprioritization.
