Handout Available for Federal Funding for Education Jobs Webcast The California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) and School Services of California, Inc. will offer a one-hour webcast on the federal education jobs bill on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. California expects to receive $1.2 billion in funding to help local education agencies (LEAs) save education jobs. Presenters will provide insight on California's application for the funding and it will provide resources to LEAs. Jobs Webcast Handout The CA Early Learning Quality Improvement System Advisory Committee (ELQIS) has scheduled public hearings for its final report of recommendations. The public hearings will be held on September 13 (San Mateo COE), September 16 (Los Angeles COE), September 21 (Tehama COE) and September 22 (Yolo COE). CCBE's Fall Conference provides valuable resources and information specific to county board members' unique role and responsibilities. County superintendents and staff members are encouraged to attend. This year's conference provides an opportunity to network with colleagues and learn about programs and services offered in other county offices. Participants will also learn how to successfully reach out to local, state and national leaders, and study about their role in charter school applications and appeals.
