The Teacher Development Subcommittee is focused on the programs of the Learning to Teach and Learning to Lead programs accredited by the CCTC.   Its goals include:

  • Supporting academic achievement of students assigned to new teachers through the provision of high-quality CTC-approved credential programs and concomitant support and assessment of those new teachers;
  • Developing systems for building collaborative relationships with County Offices of Education and other providers of Induction and Internship Programs that are future-focused and responsive to changing conditions;
  • Providing leadership for California initiatives impacting the instructional quality of new teachers and the achievement of the students the serve; and
  • Providing leadership for technology-based curriculum and instructional approaches within the context of high-quality CTC-approved credential programs
